I made this cottage cake for my sister’s 12th Birthday. I used a cake square to bake the cake and then cut it in half to build up the cakes width. I bought frosted icing and spread it all over and used a fork to pattern it.
For the roof I placed flakes on top when the icing was drying and a few dolly mixtures for the chimney.
The fence was made of yellow and pink marshmallows and placed with pink icing. All the “plants” and path were dolly mixture and flower sweets and silver balls.
Finally I wrote a message in icing and made the windows out of candy sticks.
My family was surprised that I made it on my own as I was 14 but I really enjoyed it.
