I made this Darth Maul Birthday Cake for my son for his 5th birthday. It is what he really, really wanted! I used peanut butter play dough, dyed black, to make the ears, horns, and nose. The rest was decorated with colored frosting.
I used an rectangular pan for the base of the cake, and then a single layer round cake (both chocolate) for the head. This cake took me about 3 hours to make and I will NEVER do it again. Everyone loved it!
