I made this Desktop Computer Birthday Cake for my husband’s uncle Larry for his birthday. The base is a chocolate cake baked in a 9 X 13 cake pan and covered with butter cream frosting. The monitor is made out of rice kripsy treat and then frosted with butter cream.
The image on the monitor is a print screen I printed from my computer on card stock and then covered with contact paper. The keyboard is made out of color flow and the writing is done with food writer pens. The cake is completely edible.
I love this cake, I want to make one for my grandson’s birthday. But I am not sure how to stand the monitor up! Does it need something at the back to hold it or just put it on a bed of icing!?
