My niece asked me to make a cake for her 8th birthday using the theme “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. I asked her which book was her favorite and took it from there.
I used a 10″x 3″ square pan and cut 1.5 inches off after the cake was cooled to make it more of the shape of the book. I covered the sides with white fondant and covered the top with blue fondant. I used a dull knife to make the lines for book pages. I used black frosting with a tip #2 and drew the stick figures free hand and used tip #1 with light green frosting for the page lines.
She was very happy with her cake and everyone at her party loved it too!
