I made this Disney Princess cake for my daughter’s 4th birthday. Since it was only my second time making fondant, I had some trouble with it tearing and ended up with a couple of places that needed some work. Overall, however, it was a hit at her party and she just loved it.
The bottom layer is a banana cake with butterscotch filling covered in marshmallow fondant. The top layer is chocolate cake with butter cream filling also covered in MM fondant. I made all of the flower accents, hearts, and leaves myself and painted luster dust over them. I made these 1-2 day in advance. The castle and princesses are a cake kit I purchased online.
