My friend asked me to make her 1 year old a dog birthday cake. At the party one of the older girls cried when they cut the cake as she thought it was real.
I used number 233 nozzle with a piping bag and milk chocolate Betty Crocker icing for the fur, white chocolate buds for the eyes and red fondant for the tongue and black writing icing for the black of eyes, nose and mouth.
I used a log tin for the body, and one to carve out the legs and arms cutting it into 4 (half and length ways), and a 8 inch and carved out the head and ears (ears are attached). I put skewers through the top of the head to secure it to the body.
