I made this homemade dog bone cake for the arrival of my sisters new puppy named GRUX. I used MMF to cover the whole cake. This was my very first cake I covered with fondant. I baked dog bone shaped cookies and placed them around the cake. I used a small dab of icing to old them in place.
I piped the grass around the edge of the top of the homemade dog bone cake. I poured a small amount of cocoa powder on two of the corners of the cake board to resemble dirt and piped the opposite corners with green icing or grass. I added some little “presents” in the grass using chocolate icing :)
