Pretty Homemade Doll Cake

I made this Doll Cake for my friend’s birthday. She had recently got engaged and for a laugh we bought her a loo roll dolly for her bathroom. So I decided to make her a cake based on it.

I made one sponge in a Pyrex bowl, then 4 small sponges and filled and stacked them with buttercream then covered in a thick coat of fondant.

I used petal dust to make rings of colour then used crimpers to make the fondant look like it was knitted. I did the same on a small piece of fondant to make the top of the dress on a doll pick. Finished off with a piece of ribbon round her waist.

It is one of my favorite cakes I have ever done.
