This Dragonfly Cake is the first cake I’ve made, it was for my sister’s 18th birthday. I didn’t have a lot of tools to work with, iced the cake with chocolate icing, then made a template for the dragonfly. I traced around the template with a toothpick then drew the outline with a icing tube.
Then ‘coloured it in’ with the edible glitter tubes I had bought. Same theory with the lettering, AVR is my sister’s initials. I pre-made the wee flowers and leaves, and added once they had hardened a bit. It was awesome, fun to make, not bad for a first effort I thought.
