I found this homemade Easter bunny cake online and thought it was way cuter than the Betty Crocker one with the bow tie.
This same cake is actually pictured on this site and is cake #34. But I think mine might be cuter. This looks like it would be a very hard cake to make but it is actually very easy. I have been making it for a few years and the kids love it and the grownups go crazy for it too!
I have made this cake with several types of cake. I made it with strawberry cake, pound cake, yellow cake and carrot cake. You want it to be pretty firm though so it is easier to cut up. The frosting can be done with whipped cream or butter cream either way it is yummy!
I use the black gel tube frosting for the outline of the eyes and mouth and the front paws. I couldn’t find black licorice strips anywhere! The whiskers are the eatable Easter grass. They have it at Target.
I like that this is one of those old recipe’s that is still around and there are so many ways that you can dress up this bunny!

How do you cut the round cake? i know for the body you cut a square and that makes the body and the ears but how to cut the head and hands
