At first my daughter wanted a “Happy Pink Captain Hook” cake – but that was NOT happening. We finally managed to settle for a pink Elephant Birthday Cake, made from two circle cakes, one for the body and the other for the legs, trunk and ears drawn freehand but inspired from the basic Google “elephant” cake search.
After that came covering everything with date spread (to make the fondant stick, and also because I needed to make it dairy-free and didn’t want to use margarine) and covering it with fondant.
I think it’s pretty cool.
