This is a cake I made for my nephew. He loves Elmo, so I decided to make this homemade Elmo birthday cake.
There were quite a few people so I knew that the Elmo character pan wouldn’t be enough, so I decided to put that cake on top of a 12×18 sheet cake. I made both cakes the night before and let them sit. Then I decorated them both the next day. I frosted the 12×18 cake then put the Elmo cake on top, centering as much as I could.
I decorated Elmo and decided to put ABC’s all around the sides of the cake. I was just about done and you can see where my daughter bumped it on the corner. I was so sad, I put so much work into it, I started crying, but then patched it as good as I could.
