My daughter’s 1st birthday cake had to be an Elmo Birthday Cake, since she cheered every time he appeared on TV. I have never made a character cake before, and I just followed a picture I had of him.
I used Wilson frosting red, black, white, and orange. Next, I used the star tip for his face and used a butter knife for the nose, mouth, and eyes. It took only about 45 minutes to decorate. My daughter loved it!
