I made this fairy doll cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday party. It was really simple to make and everyone really enjoyed.
I used a normal spongecake recipe, baking it in a round bottom glass ovenproof dish, hollowing out a circle about 2cm deep in the center of the top of the cake in order to place the fairy doll in the center.
I then proceeded to ice the cake using pink royal icing and then placed edible flowers all over the cake and to end off, sprinkles edible silver glitter all over the cake.
