My grandson just loves tractors. I made him a tractor cake for his birthday this year when he turned two (May 2012). I started by making a full sheet cake and icing it with green tinted butter cream icing. I outlined the sides of the cake to make it look like a fence.
I picked up some suckers and M&M’s to place on the cake to make it look like a field with rows of plants. I bought some tractors in the cake decorating department of Wal-Mart. They came 6 to a pack. I did add a small John Deer tractor to the cake as well. I used some green rock candy suckers for trees on the cake.
The cake turned out cute and he sure loved it. I think any little boy would love this cake as much as he did. I enjoyed making it for him too!
