Here’s a different idea for presenting your cupcakes. My customer wanted just a few cupcakes for her and her husband’s wedding anniversary, but I didn’t just want to give her some cupcakes in a box. I wanted it to be more special but I thought a cupcake bouquet would be too difficult for her to transport. So this flower cake is what I came up with.
To create this, I purchased a foam heart and hot glued it to the cake board; I also set it at an angle for more interest. I then stuck toothpicks into the Styrofoam using the already baked cupcakes as a guide.
I then cut small circles of tissue paper in different shades of green, I crunched them up a bit before I punched them down onto the toothpicks so the would be fluffy not flat.
After piping the roses onto the cupcakes, I inserted them onto the toothpicks and then I piped on their leaves.
I think the end result was much better than just a few cupcakes in a box.
Thanks for looking!
