For my son who was obsessed with garbage trucks I made this Garbage Truck Cake. I had a hard time finding any online so I ended up making two pound cakes in bread pans , cut and stacked them. Most are squares or rectangles and I set it up on two rectangles to attach the wheels to.
The other cake I rounded the top and set on top of the longest rectangle. I used chocolate covered donuts for the wheels, M&M’s (both whole and cut in half) for the headlights and WM and cheez its for the windows.
This is a gorgeous cake! My son’s 3rd birthday is approaching and I would love to make him this cake! He too is obsessed with garbage trucks and was just a garbage man last weekend for Halloween! How exactly did you cut the pound cakes?–You really only needed 2 pound cakes??? It looks fantastic. Please provide more details if you can!
Thank You!
Angela

How did you do this? I am going to bake my son a cake for his 4th birthday in a few weeks and need some insight as to how you made this adorable cake,
Thanks!
Hi, love your cake. I thought my grandson’s were the only ones interested in trash trucks. We drive down the street and “Trash truck”. Getting ideas to make one for them. Great job.
