I made this giant cupcake as a smash cake for my 1-year-old daughter. I baked four round cakes and froze them. After taking them out of the freezer, I stacked 2 cakes and put frosting in the middle. Then I shaped into the base of the cupcake. After that, I added the 3rd cake and put frosting in the middle.
I shaped that into the top of the cupcake. I added the 4th cake just for roundness. I froze the cake again. After I frosted and froze the last time, I smoothed out the frosting with a paper towel and added flower tip to top like sprinkles and a dollop of red frosting for the cherry. My daughter loved it and picked at the frosting “cherry” first!
