My son needed a cake for a “cakewalk” (a contest where whoever wins gets to choose from a table full of cakes that were made by students/parents) at his elementary school. My 7-year old told me what he wanted to do, and he and I created it.
I baked and frosted the cake and made the groundhog out of fondant (my first attempt using it to make something 3D). He put it all together and made it come to life. We had a lot of fun! (Note: the sugar flowers are store bought– just didn’t have the time!)
