I made this Guitar Birthday Cake Design for a friend who wanted a guitar design. I used a guitar-shaped pan. The cake was carrot cinnamon which I frosted with buttercream frosting. To strengthen and even-out the sides, I lined the sides with rectangular shaped biscuits which I painted with chocolate so it holds in place and makes for an even finish. I used purple and blue sugar glitters to make the outline and used round candy sprinkles for the guitar keys. I used a round chocolate-coated cookie for the hole and a rectangular one for the bar. I added chocolate crispies on the border and used butter cream icing to make the guitar strings.
With a star tip piping bag, I bordered the cake with buttercream frosting at the base to create a neat finish.
this is soooo cool!!! i love the idea that you used chocolate coated cookies for the sides and the circle in the middle. it looks yummy too!
This is a really cool “coolest guitar” birthday cake! Awesome!
You should join the baking contests on TV, Camille. The cake looks soooo awesome…also sounds “sarap”.
That is a really neat cake! I love that everything is edible! Carrot cinnamon cake too? How about with cream cheese icing?! Either case, would’ve loved a taste of it!
