Coolest Guitar Cake

I made this guitar cake for my little brother turning 23. He started taking guitar lessons and is getting good, so I thought it would be special to surprise him with a replica of his own guitar. I sneaked and took pictures of it and just went by the pictures.

I made 2 strawberry cakes from scratch, then a cake mix for the handle. The two cakes were layered then cut (frozen first) then used buttercream frosting for the yellow. I used fondant for the black part and fondant for the handle and knobs etc. I ended up using embroidery thread for the strings and held them down with shirt pins!

Everyone was very impressed and just remember to take out all the death traps before you eat it.
