I made this Guitar Cake as a surprise for my niece’s 16th birthday, and boy was she surprised. I even surprised myself on how great everything turned out. With my husband’s help with the construction to my kid’s taste testing.
This cake is my most challenging to date, but I intend on making more. The more challenging the better I say. I just loved the look on my niece’s face when I walked through the door with this cake, ” Priceless”!
Wow, this is so beautiful, clean and realistic! Just wondering, is it fondant-covered? If not, how did you get such a smooth finish? Also, what did you do for strings? Again, fantastic job!
Yes It Is fondant. I just Wiped the fondant with a clean towelette to get a shiny finish. the Guitar strings Are The only thing Thats Not Edible, it;s actually upholstery thread.
