This guitar cheesecake was a joy to make. This is my first time making this particular cake and especially a cheesecake/cake combo. The base of the cake is made from my own brownie recipe which lended it self as great support for the cheesecake.
The cheesecake is a chocolate cheesecake. Chocolate fudge was used to cement or fuse the brownie base and the cheesecake to each other. A butter cream icing was used to cover the cake. Candy was used to serve as the tuners and for the strings. The coolest thing about this cake is that it had to be transported 100 miles and needed to remain in a chilled state. Therefore, the cake had to be moved in two parts. As a result, the arm and the body were separated for transport and reassembled upon arrival at it’s destination. I used a template I made from a picture of a guitar as my guide.
