I made this Hamburger Birthday Cake for my son’s 11th birthday. For the bun I baked 2 yellow cakes and for the hamburger I used 1 devil’s food cake. All were baked using an 8″ round cake pan. I iced the hamburger using chocolate frosting and then used chocolate sprinkles to give it a beefy look.
I covered the top and bottom bun with fondant that I dyed. The sesame seeds are almond slices. All of the vegetables are also fondant that I dyed except the onions. The french fries are sugar cookies that I cut into strips after they baked. I used red tube frosting for the ketchup. Also I flattened the bottom bun using a cake pan right after it baked. I didn’t have to do much to the top bun because it naturally domed while baking. I used extra frosting to even out the domed look.
(Sniff) I smell BURGER!! Looks yummy! You did a wonderful job!
