Cool Homemade Harry Potter Golden Snitch Cake

As I am no artist, I wanted to make a Harry Potter themed cake. I used a “ball” cake tin, which comprises 2 separate halves, which when put together make a perfect ball.

The icing is white butterfrost icing and I copied the markings on the golden snitch onto the cake. I then sprinkled edible gold lustre powder all over the cake to make it appear shiny.

I drew the wings of the snitch and trimmed them to make them seem feathery and decorated them to make them a little more glamorous. This Harry Potter Golden Snitch Cake was a real hit with my son!
