I used basic Victoria sponge recipe and did a rectangular tin x 2 sponges for this Hello Kitty Birthday Cake Design. I traced a Hello Kitty outline and after the cake had been thawed slightly after I froze it, I held the tracing paper in placed with a cocktail stick and cut out the shape.
Butter cream and jam to sandwich together as well as butter cream on top and sides of cake to stick rolled out white fondant to. For the whiskers I used 3 mint matchmakers cut in half. For the nose I used a pink smartie and for the eyes I used 2 choc raisins covered with black writing icing. For the flower, I used some green food colouring paste (this is all I had) to colour some leftover fondant green and instead of cutting out the bow shape which I struggled with, I had a flower cutter. I then put a wafer daisy in the flower.
