The cake is 11 x 15 Wilton cake pan. It uses 2 store bought cake mixes. The cake is iced with Wilton’s buttercream icing and layered with icing as well.
The skate and puck are made from rice krispie squares recipe and shaped. Fondant icing is used to cover the skate and puck. Everything is edible except for the skate blade with its foil. This was my first time using fondant. I will definitely try it again.
This homemade hockey skate cake was for my son’s Hockey Team windup Party. It was a great success.
We are planning to attend an event called The grand dessert night and it is for cancer. Our table’s theme is HOCKEY MOMS, so needless to say, I love your cake…may I share it with the girls??
