My son Chase, loved Cookie Monster so I made him this Homemade Cookie Monster Cake for his 2nd birthday party.
Using (4) boxes of yellow box cake mix, I poured 2/3 into a large 16 inch round pan (face), and 1/3 into two halves of a sports ball pan (for the eyes).
When done, I cut out about an inch deep into the cake to make the mouth in 3-D. Decorated it with white and blue tinted frosting, and used writing gel in black for the eyes and mouth for ultra shine. Surrounded it with (5) dozen big fresh chocolate chip cookies. It was a hit!
