I started this Halo Warthog cake by baking a square base for the ground then covered it with chocolate frosting and Giradelli chocolate that I blended into “dirt” pieces in the blender. (That was DELICIOUS!!) Then I baked the next cake in a race car mold because it was the closest shape to the Halo jeep. After the cake was cooled I hand carved it to look more like the correct shape.
Then frosted it and covered it in homemade marshmallow fondant. Then I used my airbrush to paint the jeep with green and shadows of black. I used a wooden dowel for the machine gun stand and modeled the gun out of fondant to attach to the top of the stand. The machine gun even has a string of bullets running through the gun. I purchased 2 Halo figures from the toy store to stand next to the vehicle.
