This homemade Hello Kitty cake was 2-8″ rounds that I baked, let cool, leveled and crumb coated! After that I final topped the top only since the sides would be covered in stars!
For the picture, I printed one offline and then piped it on wax paper with piping gel! After I transferred the picture onto the cake, I began to outline it with tip #18 around the picture and I continued to do that until the top of the cake was covered. I then went back and did an outline around the first row with tip #3 to show more detail! I did the stars on the side vertically, I thought they would look better.
I iced the eyes, nose, and whiskers with tip #5. Shell border along bottom with tip #21. Name was iced with tip #5 as were balloons on the side!
Cake was huge hit!
