I saw a photo of this Ladybug cake and copied it from memory.
I used a very large, fairly shallow, pyrex dish to bake the ladybird dome. I then cut 1/3 off for the face. I iced this black with plastic icing. I iced the ladybird’s body red and then stuck the two together with butter icing. I used two black pipe cleaners for feelers, and a scone cutter to cut out the black spots and eyes. I made little ladybugs with the left over plastic icing. My two year old Jamie loved this cake! His twin brother Travis wanted a Hedgehog cake, which is also on this site.
Maybe instead of pipe cleaners use black licorice for the antenna, so the entire cake is edible.
