I made this Homemade Pumpkin Cake for a church fall cake walk. Everyone loved it. I used a bundt pan to make the cake. Simple cake mix dyed orange for fun. Used orange colored vanilla icing using a small cake spatula in an upward motion after I had crumb coated the cake.
I used rolled wafers to make the stem and broke off a few to stack inside the center of the bundt to fill it in and used remaining icing around them to cover them up. I used fruit roll ups and a leaf cookie cutter for the leaves and rolled the remnants from making the leaves into vine curls.
It was a hit, and actually ended up making another for another church’s youth dessert auction. It brought a whole $30!
