I received a phone call asking me if I could make a birthday cake at the last minute. Thinking that they wanted a plain decorated cake, I agreed. But then came the bombshell: “Can you make me a tortoise?”. Well, this was on a Wednesday and she wanted the cake by Friday.
So it was back to the internet to research Tortoise Cakes but I had no luck. This tortoise cake was therefore created from a cartoon picture and a 8″ sponge cake; it was also completed on time and everyone was really pleased with the result.
