I made this Turtle cake for my niece Shari’s birthday. She wanted a turtle cake so I made her one. I get a lot of ideas from this website, as well as others, and then recreate them, adding my personal touch.
For the base cake, I made a chocolate with pudding filling cake in a Betty Crocker fill and bake pan. I then made a 10″ round cake, with the same ingredients, and covered them both with fondant which was tinted a very light brown. I then used some pink fondant which was left over from another cake. I cut out some shapes from the pink and brown fondant and attached them to the turtle with vanilla flavoring.
OMG! This turtle cake is so darn cute if you weren’t so far away (I’m in Pa.) I’d hire you for my daughters B-day! Absolutely adorable. Your niece is a very lucky little girl!
