I made Hoot for my son’s 1st birthday so I had to do Hootabelle. I used the puppet we have of her to get sizing right. I used a a ball cake pan for her head and cut up a 20 cm round cake for the body. Everything else is made up with fondant. I used the cake recipe from Debbie Brown, dense cake but perfect for carving and cohere it in Swiss meringue butter cream.
