One of my cousin’s is absolutely obsessed with The Hunger Games and she got me hooked on it as well. When I decided to make this cake I do have to say it is the first cake that I have ever made with fondant and it came out really good for my first time using it . Also I found that when I was trying to figure out what to do with the edges of the cake, I thought the braid would look nice.
The mocking jay which is the bird on the cake and the main symbol of the book actually was the hardest part of the cake and I had to make it the night before I actually made the cake to make sure it was absolutely perfect. Also it was my most favorite cake to make of all times and I know it will be the most memorable for me because the look on my cousin’s face was priceless.
