I made this Hunger Games Cake for my niece’s 12th birthday! My cake is a 2 layer cake, made from 9 inch pans. I used a butter cream frosting for the base, and marshmallow fondant for the details.
I made the mocking jay a couple of days ahead of time. It was a little challenging, but I did it one piece at a time, until I liked how it looked! After I frosted the cake, and added my topper, I then cut strips out from my fondant to look like fire!
The cake was a hit!
