My son loves the Nightmare Before Christmas and wanted a Jack Skellington cake for his 5th birthday.
I made a round cake and I bought white decorator icing. I cut out a piece of paper the same size the cake was and I drew Jack’s face on it. I put a piece of baking paper on top of the drawing. I melted dark chocolate, rolled a piece of baking paper into a little bag, put the melted chocolate in it and traced the drawing of Jack’s face with chocolate.
When the chocolate was hard again I just lifted it from the baking paper and put it on the cake. You have to do this rather quickly as the chocolate melts very fast when you’re holding it. While transferring the mouth from the paper to the cake it broke, but when I put them on the cake you could hardly see that it wasn’t one piece.
This was a very easy cake to make and my son loved it.
hi! I’m from the Netherlands to!!!!
And I love the nightmare before Christmas!!
Great job, really cool cake!
I just made a very similar cake, but I used a butter cream icing and then a tube of black decoration icing for the face, which I drew free hand. It looks almost exactly like yours!
