I made this Jungle Birthday Cake for my son Jacob’s 1st Birthday! I bought a bunch of Jungle animals at our local zoo’s gift shop. I made my cake using a stackable tiered cake pan and boxed cake mix. I make my own home made frosting.
I baked the cakes according to the pans/cake box directions, torted, filled, stacked and frosted the cakes. I then used my decorating bag to make palm trees with coconuts and even a chimpanzee sitting on top. I made a waterfall and used can airbrush spray.
Along the outside bottoms of the cakes I made tropical flowers. I tried to make it look like a jungle scene. I added different animals and even a safari jeep. I used my decorator bag to write on it as well.
This was a fun and a bit time consuming cake to make. I have made tons of cakes and this one by far is one of my favorites! I used candles from the dollar store to give the cake more height! Great buy for only a buck!
