My husband and I made this Ladybug cake for our littlest one’s first birthday.
We used a regular 8″ round pan and layered it twice. I then used a small 5″ cake, cut in half. One of the halves I cut in half again and used for the wings, the other half I tailored for the body and face. Rolled fondant was used for the cake base and for polka dots. The smash cake ladybug was just regular icing that we tinted. She was a mess, but everyone loved it!
