I made this Lawn Mower Cake Idea for my son’s 2nd birthday! He loved it so much he wanted to take it outside and “help daddy” mow the lawn! I used cooked a 9 x 13 cake then made an 8 x 8 cake and also made some loaves in order to use for the top of the lawn mower. I made marshmallow fondant for the entire cake and colored it to my liking.
I bought a fake lawn mower at Kmart and took the wheels and handle off. Then I made buttercream icing and colored green, used a “grass/hair” tip to pipe the grass around to make it look a little more realistic!
