This Homemade Lego Head Cake is super simple!! I used my son’s Lego Head storage container as my model. I used two boxes of store-bought cake baked into four 9″ round cake pans. I stacked them on top of each other using homemade chocolate icing as my glue. I iced the cake with store-bought white icing dyed yellow with icing coloring.
The facial features are black fondant. The top of the cake was hollowed out before icing to make a shallow well. I placed a piece of plastic wrap in the well and filled it with Legos. I used Lego people to make it appear that the Lego people used the Legos inside the Lego Head to build the Lego cupcake stand that held the cupcakes.
There’s a ladder on the side of the Lego Head made of black fondant. The cupcakes are chocolate with white icing, colored sprinkles. Nothing fancy, but tied in with all the colors of the Legos.
I am attempting this cake in the morning–cakes are already baked. Going to try to re create your cake. Looks adorable–hope it is as simple as you said. I know I will going back and forth from the cake pic to my cake.
