Coolest Little Mermaid Cake

I made this Little Mermaid cake for my niece Madison. It was made in a 1/2 sheet pan and split down the middle to make a 1/4 sheet cake. It was made of buttercream and a white cake. The Mermaid I found at the local paper store. I wanted to replicate the under the sea theme that was in the movie. The starfish, octopus, and other items were sculpted from fondant. This was made at the same time I was making her older brother a DC cake with a two day notice for both cakes. Talk about a time crunch.

Despite the chaos, Madison totally loved her cake. I have had several orders that stemmed from this cake.
