Coolest Little Mermaid Cake

I made this Little Mermaid cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. She loves The Little Mermaid and so do I!

For the cake I used a 10 inch pan for the bottom layer, and a 6 inch pan for the top. I iced it with blue buttercream icing. I made the shells and the fish from candy melts that I put in shaped ice cube trays. The rocks are chocolate candy rocks that I purchased. I have only seen them at one store and that is in Rockport Texas. You might be able to find them online though. They work great! You can do so many things with them and they taste great!

I just used the grass tip for the border and the leaf tip to make the seaweed. I found the spiral candles at Target and thought the colors went great! I purchased the Ariel figure online. This is not a hard cake to do. Just make sure you have fun doing it! Thanks!
