Coolest Log Cutters Cake

My mom and I made this log cutters cake together for my step dad on Father’s Day.

My mom made the cake itself using two Betty Crocker Chocolate Cake mixes cooked in glass measuring cups. They took around an hour to cook and required many checks to ensure they were cooked all the way through.

I did the icing using one Betty Crocker Vanilla Icing and one Betty Crocker Chocolate icing. The base colour was made by mixing the chocolate and vanilla together. We used candles and birch bark found around the woods surrounding the house to compare the colour.

The lines were made using just the chocolate icing in an icing bag.
