My grandson is crazy about Michael Jackson. There was no doubt that he was going to ask me to make a Michael Jackson Cake.
I usually make a carrot cake for birthday cakes. For this one I used a 9x13x3 cake pan. I made two cakes, stacked them and used buttercream cheese frosting between the layers.
I Googled for a picture of Michael and choose the welknown “That Is It” picture. Resized it and used it as a template by cutting out Michael. Iced him with black butter cream cheese frosting and the rest of the cake was done with white frosting. Added the text and decorated it. The glove was made from sugar cookies dough and frosted. I couldn’t find any silver/glitter looking edible decoration for the glove so I used colored sprinkles instead.
It was a big hit with the kids but also with the adults.
Looks very nice!!!!
