I made this Mickey Mouse Cake for my son’s first birthday since he loves Mickey, who doesn’t? I used a round pan for the face and ball cake pans for the ears to give them more of a dimension. When I evened out the face I used that scrap of the cake for the nose, so that it was a bit more dimensional as well.
Before frosting it I used a toothpick to outline the face. Then I just frosted it. I had no time to use a tip.
For the face color I mixed yellow and a little bit of pink. I cut one of the cereal boxes and covered it with foil to make the stand. Happy Baking!
do you make `this cake` for others? as I would like one for our wedding in Las Vegas in September 2010.
