I have to start by saying this millipede cake wouldn’t be MY first choice for a cake. My daughter is a huge bug/critter fan. We have had Bob the critter man at her last 3 birthday parties. She also has Crawley the millipede as a pet. So, last year I asked her what kind of cake she wanted, and she said “millipede”.
We thought and thought of how we would make a millipede cake. So this is what we came up with. We lined 24 cupcakes up kinda like a snake. Then bought the Halloween m&m’s (since her b-day is in October) and picked out all the black m&m’s. We put them in lines to make them look like the millipede’s outer shell. And took red licorice and put them on it to be legs.
This is the finished product. The kids and my daughter loved it, hope you do too!
