My son and I love racing. We especially love going to the local dirt track and enjoying a Saturday together. He’s turning 9 on Monday and we are having a big shin dig. He’s getting a go kart to start practicing his driving skills for his birthday. Maybe next year will be his rookie racing year! So I tried to come up with a cake that went with his gift, but nothing captured the moments we share at our race track. I figured I can rebuild an engine, I’ve even tweaked a 5 hp Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine to run 100 mph, so what’s there to making a birthday cake?
Well this Model Modified Dirt Track Race Car Birthday Cake is four failed flattened disastrous looking cakes later. I’m quite proud of my creation, though I’ve learned a great deal of respect for the ladies who do this on a regular basis. I’ll never look at another cake the same way again! So here it is. The “Coolest Late Model Modified Dirt Track Race Car Birthday Cake”! Happy birthday, Briceman! That’s how Dad rolls!
