This Monster Cuteness Cake is a very cool cake for an 8 year old’s Monster High themed party. It is 2- 13×9 cakes. One chocolate and one white, cut in half and stacked so half the cake was chocolate and half white which caused the cake to crack slightly in the middle.
The inside was filled with strawberries and whipped cream. Therefore, refrigeration is necessary. It may also be necessary in between steps. The icing is chocolate, made in advance , and colored black. Icing may need to be made a little thicker because a lot of black coloring will thin it out, be patient. The Monster High skull was made from fondant with black, pink and white.
The border is pink and blue piped dots which brings in more color from the plaid design. The tiara is a great idea because besides a cool cake its also a little gift they can wear as well. Happy Birthday was written on candy plaques instead of the top so it wasn’t lost in all the lines from the plaid.
